For a Living Kiruna

One thing is certain. With us, you make a difference. We are Kiruna, we often say. We are the healthcare staff holding grandma's hand and the teacher helping little brother read his first words. We are the childcare worker helping someone grow every day and the social worker doing what it takes to change lives. We are the personal assistant providing freedom and the librarian bringing literature close. We are the home support staff driving to the villages in snowstorms like the midnight sun to be there. We are hundreds of competencies, thousands of people, and generations of experience working together to ensure, care, inspire, teach, save lives, think innovatively, move cities, support each other, and take care of people. With pride and care. From mountains to town. Today and tomorrow for a living Kiruna. There is something beautiful in that. Do you also want to work for life, humanity, and the future in Kiruna municipality? Do you want to create value and make a real difference for what is important?

We look forward to hearing from you!

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for an outgoing communicator who wants to contribute to the work with Kiruna municipality's brands. The focus is on spreading knowledge externally about the municipality's newly adopted place brand and internally about the employer brand. The role also includes supporting the administrations in their workforce planning efforts. Kiruna municipality is committed to strengthening and anchoring its brands in the long term, and this role is central to that work.

In this position, you will work broadly with communication issues in a large organization. You will have a significant role and will collaborate with managers and employees across all four administrations. Alongside your area of responsibility, you will support the operations in their daily communication.

We are looking for someone with experience in strategic communication work, who is accustomed to conducting training, planning, and operationally realizing communication in assignments and projects. You can adapt communication materials to different target groups and channels. The role requires good collaboration skills combined with an independent and structured approach to work. It is important that you are outgoing and enjoy speaking in front of both small and large groups.

To thrive in this role, you need to take initiative and actively work towards achieving results. The work is planned and structured independently, while also requiring the ability to act quickly when needs arise. The assignment also involves making many independent assessments and priorities while demonstrating good judgment. Being attentive to the needs of the operations and having an unpretentious attitude is crucial, as is the willingness to rethink and adjust when circumstances change.

Comfort in social contexts and the ability to create trusting relationships are central. When faced with changes and new challenges, you have the ability to see the big picture.

We offer a stimulating job with great responsibility for planning and execution. The role involves responsibility for your own assignments and is an important part of the ongoing work to develop the municipality's employer brand and place brand.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in media and communication studies, or other education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer. You have experience in strategic brand work, preferably within the public sector, can analyze communication needs, plan, implement, and follow up on communication efforts. You are confident in conducting training, inspiring, and engaging. Building relationships both externally and internally is central to the role, and it is also important that you have a creative and pedagogical flair. We see that you have a good ability to translate strategy into practice and a good understanding of visual identity, tone, and graphic guidelines. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

OTHER

To work with us, you must share Kiruna municipality's common values where respect, responsibility, and collaboration are the guiding principles.
